Some of the world's most important biological products are also among the most difficult to store and transport. Temperature sensitivity can introduce cost, complexity and accessibility challenges throughout the global pharmaceutical supply chain.
The More Life Company's work with Quicksome™ has explored whether the same underlying formulation technology can help protect sensitive biological material from degradation. Research involving the United States Food and Drug Administration Polio Vaccine Laboratory evaluated Quicksome™ in connection with preservation of Polio D antigen under elevated temperature conditions.
The work provided important evidence supporting the potential application of the technology to vaccines and other temperature sensitive biological materials.
The implication extends beyond a single vaccine. Improved stability could ultimately have relevance to vaccines, peptides, biologics and other molecules where cold chain dependence represents a significant limitation.
The FDA's laboratory testing did not constitute FDA approval or endorsement of Quicksome.
